Hardwell releases ‘Hardwell & Friends Vol.4’

Hardwell is bringing back his ‘& Friends’ series for its fourth instalment after a seven-year break. Listen to the EP below. On ‘Hardwell & Friends Vol. 04’, the Dutch producer teams up with previous collaborators Chuckie, Olly James and Ryos on the three new tracks. It’s out now on Hardwell’s Revealed Recordings label. “Hardwell was one of the first artists I found when I discovered EDM like 14 years ago or so”, Ryos wrote on Instagram. “I remember vividly watching his Ultra 2012 set on YouTube as a kid and just being mindblown. I’ve been a massive fan since, and now it’s all come full circle as we became friends and made a song together, INSANEEEEE. This feels like one big fever dream honestly lol but either way so proud of this”. The first two ‘Hardwell & Friends’ EPs landed in 2017, with the third volume releasing in 2018 before Hardwell’s announced “indefinite hiatus”. He returned to DJing in 2022 with the closing set at that year’s Ultra Miami festival. Previous featured “friends” in the collaborative series include Maddix, KAAZE, Mr. Vegas, Moksi, Timmy Trumpet and Jewelz. This past July, Hardwell performed at Tomorrowland mixing exclusively his own productions. Hardwell has been critical of the use of artificial intelligence in music production. In a March interview with Haute Living, he said, “AI can’t come up with anything truly ‘new’ — it’s always doing what’s already been done… AI can try to imitate [being forward-thinking], but it’s always four steps behind.” Listen to ‘Hardwell & Friends Vol. 04’.
