Faithless are celebrating 30 years of their iconic track ‘Insomnia’ this week with the release of a digital EP and picture disc. On Friday 28th November, one day after the official 30th anniversary of its original release, the legendary dance outfit will release a digital EP on streaming services compiling several classic ‘Insomnia’ mixes – the ‘Monster Mix’, ‘Moody Mix’ and ‘Tuff Mix’ – as well as the main mix and radio mix. While these alternative mixes have been widely available online previously, this is the first time they have been compiled in one place on streaming services. You can pre-save the EP here. A limited edition zoetrope vinyl picture disc edition of the EP will also be released on Friday as part of Record Stay Day’s Black Friday sale. The physical release replicates the original single’s Cheeky Records artwork and tracklist from 1995. You can buy it here. Earlier this month, Disclosure dropped their own remix of ‘Insomnia’, which was first made by the duo for their live sets, and debuted during their 2025 performance at Glastonbury. Now helmed by producers Sister Bliss and Rollo following the passing of Maxi Jazz in 2022, the pair and their band are currently touring their eighth studio album, ‘Champion Sound’, which was released earlier this year. They are due to play two large outdoor shows in summer 2026. Watch our interview with Sister Bliss about the making of ‘Insomnia’ here. Check out our review of ‘Champion Sound’ here.
